01 Arrival in Kathmandu

When the clients arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we, the representative from Pema treks & expedition will welcome you displaying the name of the clients on a board. We then help you with your baggage and car (private). You will be transfer to hotel and get briefed about the trek.

02 Drive Kathmandu – Chhetchhet

Early morning drive to Chhetchhet via Dolakha about 9-10 hours by Private vehicles.

03 Chhetchhet – Simigaun

From Chhetchhet we leave beautiful waterfall and warm area with an uphill trek into alpine region to Simgaon. After the steep portion the walk leads to a gradual ascend up to campsite near the monastery at Simigaon, a Sherpa farm village where people grow corns, potatoes, wheat, barley and millets, etc. After reaching the camp we take time to visit the village with striking views of the landscapes and tall peaks of Gaurishanker & Melungatse.

04 Simigaun – Beding Crossing the Rolwaling stream, our trial winds up through the forest. Passing through Nyimare, Ramding, the way leads to Beding for overnight camp near by the village. Beding is the main large Sherpa village in Rolwaling Valley, placed in a narrow gorge with its old monastery at the top of the village.The village has a primary school built with help of Hillary foundation. We can have good view of Mt. Gaurishankar and Melang La. 6-7 hours 3690 Easy
05 Beding – Na Gaun

The word ‘Gaun’ means Village/settlement in Nepali language. Na Gaun is last village before Tashi lapsa pass. We have short walk today. Trek leads for 4-5 hours then to Na Gaon, the last village of Rolwaling valley. The views from Na Gaun consist of Chobutse peak (6,689m) above the Tsho Rolpa Lake at the junction of Ripimo Shar and Trakarding glaciers.

06 Na Gaun – Acclimatization day

As the acclimatization day, we spend one more night at Na Gaun. On this day we can hike either to Tsho Rolpa Lake or to Yalung Base camp for acclimatization.

07 Na Gaun – Kabuk

Crossing Rolwaling Khola, we follow a stream to cross near Yak grazing pasture at Sangma Kharka. We then cross the wooden bridge with a climb up on the moraines, climbing steeply to a stream finally reaching at a moraine, near the dammed Tsho Rolpa. This lake also known as Chhungima Pokhari where the campsite is pitched on sandy flat field on south side of Tsho Rolpa at Kabuk. We will have great view of Tsoboje (6,689m) and Dragker-Go (6,793m).

08 Kabuk – Glacier camp

Our trek follows more through the moraine climbing on North side of Tsho Rolpa lake. Giving continue, our camp will be at glacier camp. Today our guide will give some minor climbing for going over the Tashi Labsa pass.

09 Glacier camp - Tashi labsa Camp Today we will cross Tashi Labsa Pass, the highest point of our trek and camp just below the pass at Tashi labsa camp. 7-8 hours 5665m


10 Tashi Labsa Cave – Thyangbo

Today is the longest and toughest day on whole trek since we are crossing over Tashi Labsa Pass (5755m/). We will start walking early in the morning. Going over the pass need fixed rope for ascending and descending. Our climber will fix the rope. Climbing is not big problem but we need to be careful. From the top of the pass have wonderful view of Himalayas. On the top of the pass we can see some Buddhist prayer flags. The pass separates Rolwaling valley and the Khumbu valley. We then descend down to Tengpo for the overnight camp.

11 Thyangbo – Thame

Making some steep descend with long walk, we will follow a small river with few houses and vegetation.  Our camp will be Thame village crossing Khure Goth (Yak Pastureland). Thame is famous for some monasteries and is birth place of some great SHERPA people.

12 Thame – Namche Bazar

From Thame, we descend down to a small suspension bridge. There are several traditional painting on the rocks and some mani walls walking through forest. Our camp will be at Namche bazaar, a gateway to Mt. Everest and main trading centre of this region. Namche bazaar is one finest place to relax, enjoy fresh coffee, fresh bakery, internet and many more. There are some ATM services as well.

We can have the panoramic view of Mountain including Mt. Cholatse, Arkamste, Tabuche, Mt. Everst, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kang Karu, Kongde range and more. We can see the Tangboche monestry and Pangboche valley.

13 Namche Bazaar – Phakding

A steep descent from Namche Hill leads to the suspension bridge crossing the Dudh Kosi River near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. Crossing the Dudh Koshi River twice at different locations takes us to Monjo where we need to do the exit of the trek permit and national park. After couple of hours of walk through the alpine forest, we get to Phakding village.

14 Phakding-Lukla

Since it is the last day and last walk at lower altitude in the whole trek, we can see lots of smiling face of our crew. The trail leads to some up and down. As we walk through the Sherpa villages, we notice impressive display of faith in Buddhism and cultural practices through mani walls, script on big stone pieces, some prayers flags, prayer wheels and the monastery. The final ascent of about 45 minutes from Chheplung takes us to Lukla. We can find Lukla as busy market. When you are escorted to the Lodge, our guide will do the confirmation of our ticket to Kathmandu on the next day. This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity to spend some happy moments with whole crew since the porters will not accompany with us to Kathmandu.

We fly back to Kathmandu after our trek. The early morning flight drops us in Kathmandu domestic terminal airport. You can have whole day relax on your own way. If you are thinking of taking some souvenir from Nepal to your relatives, friends, then you can visit the outlets in Thamel by yourself or with guide from Pema treks. You will be invited for the dinner in Northfield café in Thamel for the successful trip.
